Public Service Sports Club,Kandy has organized a State Services six-a-side cricket Tournament on the 22nd of October,2016 for the Richard Aluwihare Memorial Trophy.
Ten teams have entered for the inaugural tournament which will be held at the Police grounds ,Kandy. District Secretary, H.M.P.Hitisekera will be the Chief Guest.
Participating teams are
Provincial Education Dept. 2 teams, Public Service Sports Club, 2 teams, Provincial Health Dept., 1 team. Kandy Hospital doctors, 1 team, Provincial Excise Dept., 1 team,Kandy Municipal Council 2 teams, Kandy Police 1 team, Adjudicator: Former Central Province Cricket Captain Aubrey Kuruppu. Organising Committee: Dr.H.M.W.D.Herath (Chairman), Walter Ranasinghe(Secretary), B.G.S.Nishantha(Tournament Secretary) .
