This month’s programme is scheduled for Tuesday 22 of this month at 4.30 p. m. Jayantha Chandrasiris’ newest production of Hankithi Dahatuna comes up for discussion. The venue is Namel Malini Punchi Theatre at Borella. Appreciation Discussion will be presided and moderated by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Fine Arts, Prof: Ariyarathne Kaluarchchi. Others in the Panel will be Kuruvita Bandara, Dr. Jayalath Manorathne, Dr. Saumya Liyanage, and Dilshan Boange, Namel Weeramuni initiates the discussion. All interested are welcome.

Namel Malini Punchi Theatre’s aim is to encourage the audience for a good and serious theatre culture; and captivate the students of theatre curriculums in schools and Universities to provide a wider and better knowledge and education in the field of theatre. It’s a pity that only a minute proportion of the society realizes that theatre is a very serious and huge disciplining mode that is available in a civilized society, which the politicians in the country are ignorant of and deftly daft. It’s only a few who understand that it’s also a convincing religious approach which can civilize, calm down, and discipline the unripe human minds.

The Hatton National Bank sponsors the Program.
