The Green Productivity Award will be presented to Ven. Pelapatha Sumananda Thera on Monday 9 at 9.00 a.m. at the Thelawala Sri Rahula Vidyalaya in recognition of his environment-friendly enterprise. Being the principal of the Vidyalaya, he had launched nature- friendly projects such as vegetable and fruit cultivation, herbal nursery, flower and ornamental plants and solid waste desposal in the school premises.Provincial Education Director, Lalith Nonis and Zonal Director, Upulee Gunasekera will participate at the event.
