I have read many books since childhood, and one of my favourite book series is The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. My favourite book in the series is the first volume titled The Princess Diaries. The story revolves around the main character Mia Thermopolis who never knew that she is a princess. She was enjoying her early teens with a lot of dreams until her father comes to town and drops a major bomb that he is not just a European politician as he has always led her to believe, but actually a prince of a country called Genovia. The story is about how Mia is taught to be a princess by her grand mother, and the conflicts and re-unions between her best friend Lily Moscovitz. My favourite character in the novel is Michael Moscovitz, who is Lily's brother. I love this fantastic book because it is filled with many teenage aspirations which taught me that every girl has a princess inside her.
