The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL) will host a European Networking Night to felicitate the new EU Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Tung Lai-Margue at Movenpick Hotel on February 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is open to members of the ECCSL and also for non–members.

The Ambassador is due to make a policy statement on the current EU-Sri Lanka relations and on the possible avenues of further strengthening relations with the EU.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera and Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva will speak on economic diplomacy, current economic development activities and the impact of GSP+ and BREXIT on the Sri Lankan economy.

The ECCSL believes that the event would provide an opportunity for local businessmen to network with top-end participants and invitees.

The ECCSL has a mandate to promote trade and investment opportunities between Sri Lanka and 28 European Union member countries.

As the leading European business organization, the ECCSL helps the members and non-members to network with other businesses and maximise business potential.

The event will provide an insight into the driving force behind the future shape of the Sri Lankan economy.
