Galaxies

22 January, 2017

There are thousands of galaxies observed by scientists in the universe. They are found far away from the earth. Most of the galaxies are not visible to the human eye. They can be found in different shapes such as spiral, elliptical or irregular. Our solar system belongs to a galaxy called ‘The Milky Way.’ It takes the shape of spiral and has a disc-shaped structure. The first person to observe The Milky Way was Galileo Galelei.
