Young tech entrepreneurs daring to be innovative and dynamic came up with another first last week with the launch of a web and mobile app to revolutionize the insurance industry.

Save Your Monkey, an online insurance service provider, concluding two years of research, launched a web and mobile app to provide a convenient and comprehensive insurance coverage for clients at an event in Colombo last week.

The company envisions making insurance accessible and convenient to everyone by simplifying the process of procuring a policy. Insurance is viewed by many in the country as a cumbersome process with a load of legal obligations. However, its importance is overlooked due to the tiresome process to secure claims.

“Our aim is to offer an efficient and all encompassing solution to those seeking an insurance product through the insurance comparison platform,” Save Your Monkey, CFO/Director Dhanushka Liyanage said.

Saveyourmonkey.com enables consumers to compare multiple insurance quotations and procure a policy within a short time. Online insurance comparison platforms are used world over to enhance customer reach and experience. Save Your Monkey introduced the global service, enriching it with an array of value added products which are tailor-made for the local consumer.

“Our services do not stop at providing comparisons of quotations for insurance products but also to bring them to the doorstep of the customer,” a spokesman for the company said.

The company is currently focusing on providing comparisons for vehicle and travel policies online. It hopes to offer comparisons to other insurance products such as housing in the near future.

In its value enhancing proposition the company has partnered a number of leading service providers in the country to pass on additional benefits to customers.

“We will have a comprehensive roadside assistance coverage tying up with renowned players in the industry. The mobile app which has a roadside assistance path will help customers to get their needs attended speedily,” Liyanage said. The company has partnered Laugfs Car Care, Autodrome PLC and Uber to provide the value additions to the clientel. - LF
