How Sri Lankan businesses can latch on to the opportunities presented by ‘Fintech’ or financial technologies will be discussed by a set of experts at the upcoming ‘Future of Business - Innovation Strategy and Learning Event’ organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
It will be held on March 24 at the Hilton Colombo Residences. The session, titled ‘FinTech: Disruption + Inclusion,’ will explore emerging developments in the sector, which are transforming consumer and business financial services including blockchain, mobile payments, and digital banking. The two lead presenters will be Jan Metzger of Citibank in Hong Kong and Niki Ariyasinghe of R3 in Australia, followed by presentations from Rakhil Fernando of Kashmi, Reeza Zarook of Rukula and Sujith Subasinghe of Payable. The speakers will touch on how Fintech is revolutionizing the banking system and customer experiences, as well as new B2B and B2C digital payments systems. Participants will learn how to drive innovation in their organizations, dissect what changes are taking place now, what are on the horizon, and how their company can adapt to face the future.
