The 15th Battle of the Golds cricket encounter ended in a draw with Sri Rahula College gaining a slender 15-run lead on the first innings over Sri Sumangala (St Paul’s) at the Pallekele International Stadium yesterday.
Dilshan Kumar blasted a good 43 as Sri Rahula College in reply to Sri Sumangala’s first innings of 140 totalled 154. Isuru Kulatunga bowled best to take 3 wickets for 10 runs.
In Wariyapola Sri Sumangala (St. Paul’s) second innings they made 118 for 6 in 55 overs before declaring leaving Sri Rahula a target of 105 to chase in four overs. By stumps they were three without loss.
