In another match Wesley college were really lucky to beat St.Peter’s College Bambalapitiya by 26 points (4 tries, 3 conversions ) to 14 ( 1 try, 3 Penalties) in their Singer ‘A’ Division inter schools league rugby second round Cup Championship match played at Longden Place yesterday.
The Winners were leading 19-6 at half time. For the winners Wesley the tries were scored by Scrum half Avishka Lee(two), winger Avantha Hashan and flanker Aponso one each. Avishka Lee fired over the three conversions.
Flanker Jason Karunaratne scored the solitary try for the losing Peterites while fly half Steffen Sivaraj put over three penalties.
