The Presidential Task Force for Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease with the Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Ministry and the Mullaitivu District Secretariat will hold a series of kidney disease prevention programs from May 30 to June 17 as follows: 30.5.2017: Ethawetunuwewa Buddhist Temple; 12.6.2017: Sampathgama & Ranavirugama (Sampathgama Community hall); 3.6.2017: Gajatapura Community hall; 5.6.2017: Janakapura Buddhist Temple, 6.6.2017: Kiribbanwewa Wama Community hall, 10.6.2017: Ehetugaswewa Buddhist temple; 13.6.2017: Kiribbanwewa South Community hall, 16.6.2017: Nikawewa South Community hall, 17.6.2017: Sapumaltenna Society hall.
It has been observed although the area is more prove to the disease, the tendency on the part of the residents to attend the clinics is deplorably low. Early identification of the diseass will help prevent danger to life.
