Lands and Parliamentary Reforms Minister Gayantha Karunathilake held a meeting in parliament recently to identify the problems and difficulties faced by the people who have lived for a long period on State lands in Balangoda, Imbulpe, Kahawatta, Elapatha and Nivithigala Divisional Secretratiat Divisions and also seek solutions to resolve them.
It was decided at the instance of Foreign Employment Minister Thalatha Athukorala, to visit the areas and meet the people and seek their views to resolve this long outstanding problem.
Initially those living in Land Reform Commision lands in Balangoda, Imbulpe, Kahawatta, Elaphatha and Nivithigala DS divisions will be interviewed on September 9 and 10.
