Aug 6: An Arizona man stranded in the sweltering desert for days said, he survived on beer, crackers, a spoiled sandwich - and by drinking his own urine.

Mick Ohman was on his way back home to Phoenix after taking a trip to Crown King in the mountains on July 27, he told ABC News.

His SUV suddenly broke down, so he walked through the desert for hours without cell phone reception. In his despair, Ohman even recorded a video message hoping people would find it. “If you find this phone and I didn’t do so well, please tell my sisters how much I love them,” he pleaded. Ohman told KNXV-TV he only had a half-bottle of water, beer, a sandwich that had gone bad and crackers in his car. Things then took a turn for the worse. “I’ve really never felt that thirsty before. When I tried to swallow I couldn’t. My throat stuck together,” he told the TV station.
