Responding to a request made by Rev M. Pushpamala, Sister In Charge, ‘Child Jesus’ Pre-school at Karaveddy, the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) facilitated 48 pre-school kids to visit the Palaly Airport and the Kankasanthrai Naval Base on Friday (11) as part of an educational trip, organized by the pre-school.
Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna in close coordination with the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Sri Lanka Navy, facilitated the group of 5 teachers, 48 students and 48 parents to visit both, the Airport and the Naval Base. The visitors said, the excursion would remain a memorable one for the rest of their lives since it was the first time that the kids were able to see an airport and a naval port.
