“All vacancies for electoral organizers of the SLFP will be filled before September 2 as the SLFP is to mark its 66th anniversary on that day”, Minister of Skills Development Chandima Weerakkody said at a meeting with SLFP youth club representatives of the Kurunegala district.
He said the central committee of the SLFP has already decided to appoint active organizers for all electorates countrywide on or before September 2 this year.
However, present organizers who are inactive and inefficient and violate the rules and regulations of the SLFP would probably lose their present posts according to the latest decisions taken by the Central Working Committee of the SLFP. Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena, being the leader of the SLFP has instructed the Central Working Committee to appoint efficient, dedicated and capable persons as electoral organizers this year as they have to sacrifice for the victory of the party, Minister ChandimaWeerakkody added.
