Our first secret

17 September, 2017

It was Sunday evening and I was very tired because I had practised for hockey matches the whole day with my friends. I was in bed reading a book. Suddenly I heard a noise. It came from the room next to mine. I thought it was the wind, and so I continued to read my book. But it started again. I decided to go there and open the door.

When I opened the door I was really surprised! I saw a huge box. It was moving and on the box there was a tag ‘Do open it’. Also, it said, ‘special state’.

The whole box was covered with foreign stamps and there were some funny faces on it. I thought that it was a trick that was played by one of my friends. I was really terrified! The box was still moving. So finally I decided to open it. I was just like a ‘scary cat’.

I was wondering what it could be when I opened the box. I found a little hamster jumping about inside the box. It was so beautiful. The next day I told my brother about the hamster. We decided to take care of it and to call it ‘Rover’. This was our first secret.
