NCHS introduces Health Science pathway

24 September, 2017

The Nawaloka College of Higher Studies (NCHS) has introduced a new UniLink Diploma in Health Science.

The diploma of eight months duration is a direct pathway to the second year of a degree in Health Science at Swinburne University, Australia and Malaysia. “We view this Diploma as a timely opportunity where both education and health sectors are concerned. NCHS has a great relationship with Swinburne University and we are associated with Nawaloka Hospitals PLC as well. We are excited to offer the future of Sri Lanka the opportunity to benefit from this relationship,” said CEO of NCHS, Victor Ramanan. The syllabus of the diploma is similar to that of the first year of a conventional degree.

As the classes are smaller, the lecturers get to engage better with the students, pay close and individual attention and assist them when necessary. On completion of the program, students can select a subject to specialize in out of the following: Applied Statistics, Biomedical and Clinical Technologies, Biomedical Science, Exercise Science, Health Across the Lifespan, Health Communication, Neuro Science, Nutrition, Psychology and Forensic Science, Psychology and Psycho Physiology and Public and Environmental Health.
