Army spikers rout NYSC in three sets

Sri Lanka Army recorded a straight sets (25-11, 25-14, 12-56) victory over National Youth Services Council spikers in the Munchee National Volleyball Championship now in progress at the Jeyaraj Fernandopulle Indoor stadium in Negombo. In another game played at the same venue on Thursday Sri Lanka Ports Authority too registered a good victory playing against Sri Lanka Navy (25-17, 25 14, 25-6).

On Friday the match between Sri Lanka Air force and Police SC Airmen overcame the law enforcers comfortably by three sets to nil (25-19, 25- 23, 25-18). Meanwhile MAS Leisure Line playing against CEB went down also in straight sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-18) at the same venue in Negombo. The winners of these games will clash in the league matches to be played at the National Youth Services Council Indoor stadium, Maharagama. Six women’s teams in two groups will also be in action at the NYSC courts. The women’s teams participating at the Munchee National Volleyball Championship are in Group ‘A’ Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air force and Sri Lanka Ports Authority in Group ‘B’ Are MAS Casual Line, Sri Lanka Army an National Youth Services Council.

Sri Lanka Army beat NYSC 25-11, 25-14, 25-6 , SL Air Force beat Police SC 25-19, 25-22, 25- 18 , CEB beat MAS Leisure Line 25-18, 25-23, 25-18
