A source of fine taste and delight

22 October, 2017

Ice cream has dazzled us for decades. Movenpick hotel launched a range of their celebrated world famous ice creams last week. Eagerly awaited by many in Colombo, the ice creams are a source of fine taste and delight.

The captivating flavours include vanilla, chocolate, caramelita, maple walnut, strawberry, crème brullee and a refined tiramisu which leaves behind a splendid aftertaste. The ice creams are supplemented with jubilant sundaes and sorbets: the sorbet flavours come in raspberry, mango and blackcurrant.

Each product has a distinct taste, centered on the fat enriched Swiss milk which accentuates the desired flavour. It is a classic treat in our tropical hot weather. Movenpick first launched their ice creams in the 1960s, made at Bursins, Switzerland and since then the frozen dairy delights have created quite a culinary rave. The Movenpick ice cream was the first to be served with “inclusions” such as sweet sauces and ripples. Colombo’s gourmets will be in for a succulent and cool experience.
