To celebrate 70 years of India’s Independence, a special festival - UTSAV- Glimpses of India, will be organised by Indian Cultural Centre, High Commission of India from 17-19 November at the Vihara Mahadevi Open Air Theatre in Colombo.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on November 17 at 6.30 pm with a special Punjabi Folk Dance and Music performance by renowned artists from Punjab, India. During the festival from November 18-19 day long activities including Yoga sessions, age old traditional medical systems, Taste of India (live demonstrations of cuisines from various parts of India), learn Hindi in easy way, Fashion Shows, Bollywood Films, Dance and Music, handicraft and handloom exhibitions are planned.
All events are open for public and entry is free.
