Unidentified body found in Sammanthurai
A body of an unidentified man was found near the Maliyakadu bridge in Sammanthurai on Friday.
According to the Police, the man appears to be around 35 years old and is said to be around five feet in height. The body is currently at the Ampara Hospital.
Man electrocuted to death
A farmhand was electrocuted to death in the Ambakandawila area in Chilaw.
According to the Police, the man had been working at a shrimp farm at the time of the incident which had occurred on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Eranga Fernando of Gampaha. Chilaw Police are investigating.
Visaless Czech nabbed
A foreigner was arrested for violating Immigration and Emigration laws by the Police Fraud Investigation Bureau.
The arrest was made on a tip-off received in the Canal road area in Colombo Fort on Friday. The man is said to be a citizen of the Czech Republic.
