The Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation held its Convocation 2017 at the Sri Lanka Foundation recently.
The chief guest Minister of Special Assignments Dr. Sarath Amunugama delivered the keynote address. Commissioner General of Inland Revenue Ivan Dissanayake was the guest of honour.
Over 95 students of the Institute were awarded membership certificate and four students were awarded merit certificates for their performance in the professional level examination conducted by the institute.
Vice President of the Institute, Prasanga Ranwatte, delivered welcome address and Secretary Rameshkumar, delivered the vote of thanks.
The Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation is the only national statutory body of tax professionals and it conducts professional study courses in taxation in Sri Lanka. It was incorporated under the Act of parliament and it is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
