Defending champions Kandy SC bulldozed their way towards another convincing win in the Dialog ‘A’ division league rugby tournament with a 64 points (10 tries, 7 conversions) to 12 (2 tries, 1 conversion) win over Air Force SC in their match played at Ratmalana yesterday.
The fate of the contest was decided by the end of the first half of play when Kandy SC racked up 45 points to the Airmen’s 12.
In the other ‘A’ division match played at Police Park yesterday, CR&FC pulled off a thrilling 33 points (5 tries, 4 conversions) to 31 (4 tries, 4 conversions, 1 penalty) win over Police SC.
CR held onto a comfortable 26-10 lead at half time but the gallant Police outfit came back strongly in the second half to plant three tries and nearly pull off a surprise win.
