Newly crowned Dialog ‘A’ division rugby league champs Kandy SC staged a superb second half rally to beat Army SC by 29 points (4 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty) to 20 (2 tries, 2 conversions, 2 penalties) to maintain their unbeaten record for the season in their second round match played at Ratmalana yesterday.
The soldiers led 17-14 at half time but could add only a penalty to their tally in the second half as Kandy came storming back to take the game away from them.
CH VIES FOR SECOND SPOT WITH WIN OVER POLICE
A rejuvenated CH&FC kept their hopes of finishing second in the Dialog ‘A’ Division League Championship with a convincing 50 points (7 tries, 6 conversions, 1 penalty) to 36 (6 tries, 3 conversions) win over Police SC in a second round match played at Racecourse Stadium yesterday.
At half time the scores were level at 24-all.

In another Dialog ‘A’ Division League second round rugby match played at Longden Place yesterday, hosts CR&FC beat Air Force SC by 27 points (4 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) to 17 (2 tries, 2 conversions, 1 drop goal). At half time CR led 19-3.
