The Indian Cultural Centre will be screening the National Award Winning Hindi Film ‘Jolly LL.B’ on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 3 pm, at the Indian Cultural Centre Auditorium, No 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7. Jolly LLB is a 2013 Indian Hindi film (comedy) written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, starring, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Amrita Rao in the lead roles.The film revolves around the early life of lawyer, Jagdish Tyagi (Jolly) and focuses on his attempt to earn six innocent wage earners their rights, and his journey against the monopolistic behaviour of the rich, and judicial corruption. The storyline is inspired by a real 1999 hit-and-run case.
The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi and Saurabh Shukla won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. All are cordially invited, entrance free of charge, seating on First come First Served basis.
