The Cycling Federation’s District Cycling Championships will be conducted in five districts today by their espective associations.
The events will be for standard cycles Open men and women and juniors boys and girls. The districts where the events will be worked off today are Colombo, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Kegalle and Anuradhapura for which the Federation has donated financial support to conduct these road races.
The Colombo road race is to take place opposite Buddhagosha MV, Kalubowila where the riders will pedal in a stretch of 12.5 kilo meters while the Gampaha district races are to take place from Dunagaha Pradeshiya Sabha on a circuit of 20 kilo meters.
In Kurunegala the organizers will use the Muttetugala-Wellawaya road to run the races while the Kegalle Association will use the Ruwanwella-Galigamuwa road.
