Zahira’s Soccer Veterans became champions while the Batch of ‘93 won the cricket tournament at the Zahira College Group of ‘90 Sports Festival held last week at the school premises.
The champion soccer team received their award from Bronze sponsor Genius Engineering Services Senior Manager HDR Janaka while the cricket tournament winners received their champion award from Silver sponsor Gosonic Lanka’s Mohamed Kiyas.
In rugby the Stopians Team received their champion award from clothing partner Fashion Bug’s area manager Riyas Shabdeen.
In the exhibition soccer match between G90 and Old Boys Association, the former beat the latter 2-0.
The chief guest was Humanitarian Relief Foundation Chairman MJ Feroz Mohammed and the guests of honour were former Zahira College Vice Principal K. Ravindaran, Humanitarian Relief Foundation President IYM Haniffa, Zahira College Principal Trizvi Marikkar, Board of Governors Secretary Alavi Mukthar, G90 President MRM Razak, Project Chairman MTM Milhan, Secretary Shamraz Zuhair, Prefect of Games Muhiseen Ariff, Vice Principal MTA Rauff and OBA President MUM Azmi.
