Kala Musu Kadella is a home for children in Kalutara. It is a home for children who are victims or abused, abandoned by families or have dropped out of school for long periods. It is registered under the Child Care and Probation Department and the children have all been brought by the Department of Probation or sent by Courts.
Kala Musu Kadella works for the development of the children. Currently, it is home to 45 children – 24 boys and 21 girls from the ages of 6 to 16 years.
Cathay Pacific Sri Lanka supported Kala Musu Kadella by painting their Girls’ Home.
All materials required for the initiative was donated by Cathay Pacific and some of the team members also pitched in for the painting job. Cathay Pacific also sponsored food, toiletries, stationery and some necessities required by the home.
The team had an enriching interactive session with the children over lunch and a fun evening with games and snacks.
