As the ‘Gold sponsor’ of Infotel 2018, Sri Lanka’s premier national ICT exposition and conference, People’s Bank installed a state-of-the-art People’s Digital Stall at the BMICH recently.

It showcased its pioneering achievements in digital banking.

The Bank’s partnership with Infotel 2018 is aligned to its own ambitious digitalisation journey towards becoming Sri Lanka’s Most Digitalised Bank by 2020.

The People’s Bank’s stall comprised a full-fledged digital branch - complete with a Self Banking Unit (CDM/ATM/Kiosk). Reflecting a high level of digitisation for customer convenience, these facilities offer customers the comfort of seamless transactions.

People’s Bank invited Infotel visitors to open digital accounts at the venue and experience the popular People’s Wave Mobile App, which offers a digitalised banking experience and enables banking on the go.

People’s Bank was the Gold sponsor of Infotel-2018, under the theme - ‘Towards a Digital Economy’.

Infotel is organised and hosted by the Federation of IT Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), the voice of the Sri Lanka’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industries, which comprises companies and IT professionals representing software, hardware, education and training, communication services and professional service segments of Sri Lankan ICT industries.

The People’s Bank is forging ahead towards being the most successful bank in Sri Lanka through the digitisation of its services, a spokesman for the Bank said.
