Tourists unperturbed by travel warnings

Foreign tourists arriving in their thousands at local wildlife parks seem unperturbed by travel warnings against Sri Lanka issued by certain western countries in view of ‘the current political situation’ in the country.

Here our staff photographer, Shan Rupassara captured eager tourists, fleeing the freezing winter in their home countries, waiting impatiently on safari jeeps in Habarana to be mesmerised by the sight of gentle pachyderms roaming in abundance during this time of the year.
