CA Sri Lanka schols for top three commerce achievers

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) continues to be the choice of champions, with the highest achievers of the commerce stream of the 2018 GCE A/L examination choosing CA Sri Lanka to begin their journey to be Chartered Accountants.

President of CA Sri Lanka, Jagath Perera presented the scholarships to the commerce stream’s all-island first three, Kasun Wickramarathna of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala, Uvini Ranaweera of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha and Malithi Jayaratne of Musaeus College, Colombo at the Institute recently.

CA Sri Lanka’s Vice President Manil Jayesinghe, Council Member Sanjaya Bandara and Secretary Prasanna Liyanage were also present.

The benchmark CA Sri Lanka qualification has attracted the best and brightest students from the commerce and non-commerce streams. Students with a minimum of three passes in any stream at the GCE Advanced Level exam can register for the Chartered Accounting qualification, which has also been recognised as a qualification comparable to a Master’s Degree standard, as per an evaluation carried out by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) of the United Kingdom.
