Sri Lanka U-19 lose second match

All-rounder Will Sutherland starred as Australia U19 took a 2-0 in the three-match one-day series by beating Sri Lanka U19 by seven runs in the second match played in the P.Sara Oval in Colombo yesterday after defending 304.

Keegan Oates and skipper Oliver Davies pushed Australia ahead as Oates went on to score a well-deserved 95 while Davies made a useful contribution of 52 runs.

Oates and Sutherland also produced a solid partnership as Sutherland scored a century with 10 fours and five sixes. In replying Sri Lanka U19 openers Navod Pathiravitharana (0) and Kamil Mishara (15) were bowled out by Iain Carlisle and a third wicket stand between Mohamed Samaaz (79) and skipper Nipun Dananjaya (54) held the innings together.
