Uga Escapes, a hospitality group which controls five hotels, Ulagalla Resort, Jungle Beach, Uga Bay, Residence and Chena Huts has won several international and national awards over the years. Adding to its achievements, Uga Escapes properties won several Asian and local awards of excellence at the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice awards.
Chosen from hospitality destinations across Sri Lanka, Jungle Beach secured number eight among the Top 10 for Luxury Hotels, number four among Best Service, number two among Top Hotels and number 14 among Best Romantic facilities. Uga Bay secured number nine among Top 10 for Luxury Hotels, number 14 among Best Service and number two among Top Hotels. Residence has been ranked number 24 among Best Service, number nine among Top 25 for Romantic Destinations and Number 25 among Top 25 Small Hotels.
Under the Asian region, Ulagalla Resort secured four awards. Ranking number 14 among the Top 25 Small Hotels in Asia, number 10 among the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Asia, Number 17 among the Top 25 for Best Service in Asia, and number 20 among the Top 25 for Romantic destinations in Asia, the Resort has imprinted the quality of Sri Lanka’s hospitality in the Region.
Ulagalla Resort topped the list as the number one Luxury Hotel in Sri Lanka and number one Hotel for Best Service. They have also been ranked Number two among the Top 25 Romantic and Top 25 Small Hotels in Sri Lanka.
Uga Escapes, CEO Ramli Gaffoor said, “The only reason Chena Huts did not make it to the list was due to the fact that it is a recent opening with an insufficient number of reviews even though it has won numerous awards of excellence in its short duration.”
