Vidyaloka College Galle advanced to the final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under-13 division II inter-schools cricket tournament when they beat St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya in their semi-final at Rajasinghe Central ground in Hanwella on Monday.
Put in to bat first St. Peter’s scored 141 for 7 declared and Vidyaloka replied with 53 for one wicket in 14 overs when rain halted play.
Vidyaloka earned 2.11 bonus points and St. Peter’s earned 2.08 bonus points in this match.
Vidyaloka will now meet S. Thomas’ Prep School Colombo in the final to be played next week.
Both these teams will be promoted to division one next year.
