New books: Sri Lankan author launches three books in Brisbane

Dr. Nimal Sedera’s latest books Bhavapathini and Jayakeheli written in Sinhala will be introduced to the Australian audience on March 24, at St Catherine Church Hall, Newham Road, Wishart, Brisbane.

The Sri Lankan Consulate General, Anton Swan will be the chief guest at the event, organized by the Sri Lanka Society of Queensland. Another book of Dr Nimal Sedera published recently, titled, Nihanda Basa will also be introduced at this meeting.

Bhavapathini is the life story of the author’s wife Swarna and is issued to mark the 50th anniversary of their marriage, as well as the global Women’s Day. Jayakeheli is the true story of the outstanding sales team that Dr. Nimal Sedera built in the field of Insurance in Sri Lanka that has lasted over 30 years. Some Insurance companies have sponsored the book. The President of the Society, Gothami Meepe will preside over the meeting and, a prominent media person an Engineer by profession Jayantha Wickramatunga, Prof Francis Suraweera and Prof Darshana Sedera will review the books at this gathering and Malani Ranasinghe a member of the original cast of Singhabahu will sing at the event.
