St. John’s Jaffna win one-dayer against Central

St John’s College won their 17th annual limited overs encounter when they beat their rival Jaffna Central College by two wickets at St. John’s College ground in Jaffna yesterday.

Jaffna Central College was restricted to 221 runs after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

St. John’s chased down the target in 46 overs losing 8 wickets as A. Sukethan top-scored for them with 61 runs.

Earlier in the day, Anton Abishek picked up 4 wickets for St. John’s College.
