CA Sri Lanka conducts training program for students

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) conducted a three-day residential program for its students recently. It was aimed at ensuring future Chartered Accountants are holistic professionals equipped with the soft skills to steer the corporate world.

The program conducted at Sanctuary House, Pamunugama brought together corporate level students of CA Sri Lanka where a range of knowledge sharing, exciting and fun-filled activities were carried out.

The program consisted of model classroom sessions, knowledge enhancing exercises and an opportunity for fellowship for the students. Five resource personnel shared their thoughts with the students on a range of areas such as communication and negotiation skills, developing core competencies, marketing and business plans, mastering business strategies and delivering winning presentations.

The resource persons were: Consultant, Business Planning and Plan Implementation, Marieanne Samaraweera, Educationist, HR Consultant / Director Kelani Cables, Dr. Ranjith Cabral, Consultant, Bank Credit Risk Management and Training, Shalini Panditaratne, Entrepreneur and Consultant in IT and Finance, Sujatha Nadesan and Consultant, Strategy, Business Management and Development, Changa J Samaraweera.

CA Students who passed the KC5 in December last year and Corporate Level Students who are in KC1 – KC5 participated in the program which was conducted free by the Institute.
