Zahira College Cricket Committee organized a Cricket Nite and Felicitation Ceremony held at the College Abdul Gaffoor Hall recently under the patronage of principal of the College Triizviiy Marikkar.
Chairman of the Cricket Committee Zaheer Marzook delivered the welcome address.
Former Sri Lankan captain Arivinda de Silva was present as chief guest and presented awards to the members of the cricket team.
In his address he advised the cricketers to respect their teachers, coaches and parents.
Best All Rounder and Best Bowler award went to Imthiyas Slaza while the Best Batsman award went to Mohamed Shamas. The Best Fielder prize went to Tuan Shadullah and the Most Associate Player award was taken by Dilsara Shaminda and Best Discipline Player Arivinth Rajendran.
Trophies were also presented to the Prefect of Games Muhiseen Ariff, coaches, master in charge, ground staff and support staff.
Zahira College Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed, Secretary Alavi Mukthar, Board of Governors Sports Committee Chairman MSM Faiz, Prof. MTA Furkhan, OBA President Naina Mohamed, Members of the BOG, old boys and parents were also present.
