The Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries [SLAAPS] Members’ Day 2019 themed “Christmas Masquerade” was held at Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara recently. It was a resounding success and had the highest level of participation in the recent years.
The highlight of the day was the awarding of the "Member of the Year 2019."
It was won by Rizana Azeez from the National Savings Bank, Colombo securing the highest score according to the evaluation criteria, which included the attendance at all events during the year as well as assisting the Association by way of sponsorship and gifts during the year under review.
Apart from this, the members of the Executive Committee who had actively participated in all or most of the projects and events during the year were recognised with an Award of Appreciation by the President, Ms. Ruveena Cader, for their dedication, loyalty and support towards the Association. Shireen Rajee secured the highest score for the Appreciation Award.
The day’s program included many activities, games and competitions and prizes were presented to all winners. The first prize on the raffle draw, a return air ticket to Abu Dhabi with the compliments of Ethihad Airways was won by Nishantha Pathirage of the Nations Trust Bank. There were many stalls for members , for Christmas shopping. It was a memorable day enjoyed by all present.
