The National Sports Selection Committee headed by Army Commander Lt Gen Shavendra Silva’s recommended seven-member new Sri Lanka Cricket selection committee has been ratified by Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.
They will now take stock of all cricket selections including under-19 cricket and women’s teams for the next two years.
The new selectors are Ashantha de Mel as the head of the seven member committee and the rest of the members are Chaminda Mendis, Pramodya Wickremasinghe, Hemantha Devapriya, Ranjith Madurusinghe, Uvais Karnain and Nilmini Gunaratne. (IW)
