Nine teams and 150 players from the nine provinces are expected to compete for supremacy at the event called the Dialog Netball Rising Stars 2021 tourney.

“Sri Lanka has the potential to perform extremely well beyond the Asian circuit with new talent we have been developing over the past few years and this tourney is an extent of that progression,” said Victoria Lakshmi, the president of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka.

“I would like to thank our partner Dialog for always supporting the NFSL, especially to develop the sport and find talent from the peripheries.”

Dialog’s marketing head Ashani Senaratne said they were pleased to take stock of the progress of netball in the country and their desire to become the sport’s commercial partner is a tremendous encouragement for the players.

“Dialog Axiata is proud to have partnered with NFSL to develop the talent pool from all nine provinces of Sri Lanka and bring glory to our motherland.

“The national team has been making steady progress in the past few years especially with the new talent coming in and we are excited to see our finest young women in the international arena,” said Senaratne.
