Exhibition by Fabienne Francotte

9 April, 2023

The exhibition, Francophonie 2023, to mark French Language Day, began at Alliance Française of Colombo, on March 30, and will conclude on April 30.

Arts with the Belgian artist Fabienne Francotte who has conducted artistic workshops with a group of Alliance Française members and a group of pupils of the French International School of Colombo, are on display at the exhibition.

Fabienne Francotte wanted to explore through painting and sculpture one of the ten words of the Francophonie 2023 (les dix mots de la Francophonie). To wonder about some of the following questions: what is perfect? what is more than perfect and what is less than perfect? The exhibition presents the works produced by the participants during the artistic workshops. Some of Fabienne Francotte original works will be also presented.

The exhibition is organised by the Alliance Française of Colombo together with the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and in partnership with the French International School of Colombo.

In the frame of the multidisciplinary program of Francophonie 2023 in Sri Lanka, organised by the diplomatic missions of Canada, Egypt, France and Switzerland, together with the Alliance Française red in Sri Lanka (Colombo, Matara, Kandy), the French Teachers’ Association and the International French School of Colombo.
