Island Dairies (Pvt) Limited bagged the Gold Award in Agriculture and Dairy Products Category and the Bronze Award in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Category at the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Awards (SMEDA) 2022 organised by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).
The event was held at the Grand Monarch Hotel.
Founded by Liyanage Karunarathna, Island Dairies has now expanded its branch network throughout the country and provided direct and indirect employment opportunities to many. It purchases milk from local farmers at the best possible price.
The Company also provides research opportunities for university students for their agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy and other related degree and diploma programs.
