The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Shangri La Hambantota recently.
Nishad Wijetunga was re-elected President.
Bobbi Jordan Hansen and Nalin Jayasundera were appointed Vice Presidents, while Nilan Wickremasinghe and Charith De Alwis were appointed Treasurer and Secretary.
The event brought together members and industry leaders, reaffirming SLAITO’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation within Sri Lanka’s tourism sector.
The AGM provided a platform for members to come together and discuss the latest industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. It also served as a forum to review the association’s achievements over the past year and outline its strategic vision for the future.
SLAITO also recognised veteran industry professional and a Past President of SLAITO, Chandra WIckramasinghe for his dedicated and innovative contribution in the tourism industry with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
The keynote speaker for the evening was the Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Chalaka Gajabahu who presented a glimpse of the much-anticipated Destination Marketing campaign.
