Roll out of Sinopharm vaccine begins

Health officials began rolling out the China made Sinopharm Covid 19 vaccine in several areas yesterday as the daily new infections in the country soared up to the 2,000 mark. The vaccine received WHO emergency approval and the approval of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) earlier. Sri Lanka received a consignment of 600,000 doses of the vaccine late March as a donation from the Chinese Government.
