President Ranil Wickremesinghe who embarked on an official visit to Cuba and the United States yesterday morning (13) has entrusted the responsibilities of the Ministries under his purview to the respective State Ministers.
State Minister Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon will serve as the Acting Defence Minister while State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya will be Acting Finance Minister while State Minister Kanaka Herath will be the Acting Technology and Investment Promotion Minister and State Minister Anupa Pasqual will be the Women, Children Affairs and Social Empowerment Acting Minister.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s official visit to Cuba includes his participation in the G77 Group and China Heads of State Summit. Subsequently, he will join a delegation to the United States to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
