Calcey, a software product engineering and consulting company with a two-decade long history in Sri Lanka, has launched ‘Ride 4 Good’, a one-of-a-kind mountain biking expedition.
Over the course of five days from October 15, a small group of adventurers will explore the hill country of Sri Lanka on their mountain bikes.
CEO Mangala Karunaratne said, “Earlier this year, we launched Calcey Springboard to help expand the tech talent pool in Sri Lanka. Having done that, we also have a duty to help Springboard graduates secure their first internships. I invite my peers in the industry to support this cause by committing to offer interview opportunities for these students. It’s a great chance to change someone’s life for the better.”
‘Ride 4 Good’ will also showcase the natural beauty of Sri Lanka, going beyond the island’s traditional sun, beach, and sand positioning. In doing so, it is hoped that much needed attention is directed towards the Central Province to develop it into a place of sustainable, conscious, and regenerative eco-tourism.
