Axiata Digital Labs and ADL Heartbeat empower students at Kithulkote Maha Vidyalaya

Axiata Digital Labs (ADL), a global technology hub known for delivering innovative and transformative solutions that accelerate digital transformation, carried out another noteworthy CSR initiative with ADL Heartbeat, the CSR arm of ADL. The initativeinvolved revamping the computer lab at the Kithulkote Maha Vidyalaya in Thanamalwila, benefiting over 500 students.

As part of the donation, ADL contributed ten computer stations that included IT equipment such as a monitor screen, keyboards, mouse pad andmouses. A projector screen, a projector, and speakers were also donated to further enhance the learning environment for the students and give them an opportunity to witness what the future holds.

The objective of this CSR initiative was to bridge the digital divide by providing students with access to modern technology and empowering them with the digital literacy skills they need, helping them join the digital revolution. By refurbishing the computer lab, ADL aims to equip the younger generation with the tools necessary to thrive in today’s digital world. To commemorate the milestone, Thsushera Kawdawatta, Chief Executive Officer of ADL, accompanied the team, to inaugurate the newly revamped computer lab. The event was met with great excitement and appreciation from the school faculty, students and the local community.
