Trinity and Walala athletic champs
Trinity College athletic team became the boys overall champions for the second time in a row at the Central Province championship at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy.
In the girls’ segment Walala A. Ratnayake Central College clinched the championship for the 31st successive year and stamped their unblemished record in the schools arena.
Trinity beat Prince of Wales
Two schools from Kandy were in action at the under-19 limited overs inter-school tournament and in one game the present champions Trinity College were able to beat Prince of Wales College by nine wickets at Moratuwa.
The other match between Nugawela Central and Wariyapola Sri Sumangala ended in a tie.

Hulangamuwa heads Old Rajans
Old Rajas Rugby Football Association elected Sanjeewa Hulangamuwa as their new president at their AGM.
He is also a committee member of Dharmaraja College Old Boys’ Union and a member of Old Rajans Western Cadet Band Association. Tharindu Ratnayake came in as the secretary and Sajeewa Abeyaratne as the treasurer.
