The Sri Lankan delegation including President Ranil Wickremesinghe attended the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which began yesterday (19) at the UN Headquarters in New York. The UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the Heads of State, including President Wickremesinghe at the UNHQ. Foreign Minister Ali Sabry PC, Secretary to the President Saman Ekanayake, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Mohan Peiris PC, Foreign Secretary Aruni Wijewardene and Presidential Advisor on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardene were also present at the UNGA.
